A special Singapore Aviation Delegation has made a visit to Yangon, Myanmar and one of the stops was at MATS on 14 May 2013.
The delegation consists of representatives from 9 companies, namely Changi Airport Group, Blue Crystal Resources, Mil-Com Aerospace, Miltrade Technologies, SilkAir, Singapore Aviation Academy, Singapore Technologies Electronics, Tiger Airways, and WEC Engineering and Constructions. They have had sounded their keen interests in exploring opportunities in the areas from air connectivity between the two countries to partnership in the provision of aviation training.
Mr Shadrach Sherman Kwok, Head of MATS/Training made a presentation to the delegation and had a fruitful discussion with some of the companies of relevance. It was followed by light refreshments whereby a further in-depth exploration between interested parties was made possible.
This Singapore Aviation Delegation visit, entitled “Aviation Mission to Myanmar” was led by the International Enterprise (IE) Singapore. It is the Singapore government agency driving Singapore’s external economy, and with a mission to promote overseas growth of Singapore-based enterprises and international trade.
